When I was about 16 years old, I worked for my family’s business in a restaurant. I fell in love with cooking and found it exciting. With King Cali Catering, I’m bringing a new, modern style to mexican food. I really want to bring it to the next level. By using different and new techniques in fine dining, I want to give the food a new and exciting flavor.
Being a small business is exciting because you are your own boss. You can expand your business to what you want it to be. For cooking especially, being a vendor of this style, you shop locally and pick fresh ingredients of the day versus bigger chain restaurants that are bringing in pallets and pallets of food in everyday, a lot of it from sources you don’t really know. My aim is to use those local resources in my food to give the people of Reno the true Reno experience.
